Winemaking Campaign 2023 at Chukara Winery
In order to adhere as much as possible to the quality that we strive to provide to our customers, here at Chukara winery we pay special attention to the selection of grapes for our wines.
Our winemaking philosophy considers the natural wealth of the Bulgarian terroir first. The character and quality of the wine are directly related to its origin, to the interrelationship between the land, the vine and man. Chukara wines directly reflect the main Bulgarian wine regions with their specific climate, geographical features and traditions. Our leading goal is to harvest and select only the highest quality grapes, ripened to the standards of the wine variety. We rely only on traditional manual harvesting, because this is the only way to select and sort the best ripened grapes, preserving their integrity.

What matters to us the most here at Chukara Winery? To produce memorable wines in harmony with nature, environmental protection, organically grown grapes, as well as the natural vinification process.

All of our wines are fermented with different strains of cultural yeast according to the wine variety, to ensure the correct alcoholic fermentation, and in the case of red wines, subsequent malolactic fermentation. In this way, the production of individual wines with a distinct character is ensured, which are shaped by the terroir and the technology used to create them. Thus, the unique character of the vineyard is transferred to the wine and allows us to make the origin recognizable by taste.

Vintage 2023 of Chukara Winery is our treasur and will include, in addition to our iconic Muscat Otonelle, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot varieties, some Pinot Noir Rosé as well. We our wines with passion, care, love and patience, so that you can continue to enjoy the recognizable and unique taste and aroma of Chukara wines.
